Virgin encourages online check-in

Virgin encourages online check-in Virgin Atlantic has launched a promotional campaign to encourage customers to utilise its online check-in facility when travelling from airports in the UK.

Anyone using online check-in to take a Virgin flight from its UK hubs between July 1st and August 31st will be offered special discounts on fragrances bought in-flight.

Passengers are entitled to a £10 discount on two or more fragrances purchased from the on-board retail therapy range.

A huge variety of the latest perfumes and designer fragrances are available as part of the VScents for Her and VScents for Him collections which already offer strong savings on high street prices.

Moreover, travellers using online check-in for the London terminals of Gatwick and Heathrow will also be entitled to vouchers and discounts in shops based at the airports.

Paul Dickinson, Virgin Atlantic's marketing director, indicated that online check-in can offer customers a quicker and less stressful way to travel.

"We hope that this promotion will encourage passengers to check-in online before their trip as it means that on arrival at the airport, they simply hand over their luggage at the 'bag drop' desk and go straight through security, making the whole process much quicker and stress-free for them."

"Online check-in is currently used by nearly a quarter of our passengers - we predict that this number will continue to increase over the coming months," he added.

Virgin Atlantic operates flights to long-haul destinations around the world with the most popular being New York, Dubai, and Singapore.
