Iceland Express is offering special low priced flights for British music devotees to head to a free concert being held in Iceland. Budget carrier, Iceland Express is tempting music fans with special low-price tickets to fly from Britain to Iceland for a free concert.

On June 28th two of Iceland's biggest musical exports, Bjork and Sigur Ros, will play at the open air concert in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik.

Iceland Express is offering one-way flights from London Stansted to Keflevik Airport in Iceland for £69 including taxes.

Reduced flight tickets are on offer for travel from June 25th to July 2nd and can be booked directly from icelandexpress.com.

The concert is due to go ahead in the Laugardular which is a hot springs valley offering recreation facilities for people from the capital.

More artists are expected to be added to the line up including one as yet unnamed British band.

The event is designed to raise awareness of issues surrounding the environment in Iceland.

World renowned singer Bjork said on her personal website that "too often, battles being fought for nature turn into something negative and into mudslinging".

"We will not go that way, we are not saying that this and that is forbidden, we are rather asking 'what about all these other possibilities?'"

"The 21st Century is not going to be another oil century but rather a century where we need to recycle, think green and design both power plants and our surroundings in harmony with nature," she added.

Iceland Express operates a daily service from London Stansted to Keflevik Airport with a flight time of just three hours.
