BA voted best business airline

BA voted best business airline Condé Nast Traveller magazine has named British Airways (BA) as the Best Business Airline at its annual awards.

Club World, BA's business-class cabin, has become a popular choice among passengers travelling with high frequency and wanting only top quality service.

BA said in a statement that it has invested £100 million in overhauling its existing business-class cabins to create a well appointed and comfortable environment for high-value passengers.

The airline now intends to roll out the successful Club World service across all of its long-haul fleet.

Trade Arabia reports a BA spokesperson saying that "we are delighted to have received the Best Business Airline award, which is voted for by the discerning readers of Condé Nast Traveller who fly with us".

The spokesperson added that passengers "clearly appreciate the extraordinary quality of our products, created especially for business travellers".

In other news, BA has started to move a greater number of its flights to Terminal 5 (T5) at Heathrow Airport as part of a staggered transfer to the £4.5 billion hub.

BA's gradual move to T5 from Terminal 4 was delayed from the scheduled time of April following a troubled opening at the terminal.

However, T5 has since experienced considerable improvements to the previously problematic baggage handling performance and punctuality rates.

BA's biggest single move went ahead last week involving 60 flights moving to T5, which means that there are now 480 daily departures and arrivals involving almost 65,000 passengers.

The complete transfer will now be conducted in three phases which BA hopes will be completed by the end of October.
