Air France celebrates cinema to honour Cannes film Festival

Air France celebrates cinema to honour Cannes film Festival In order to honour the Cannes Film Festival, Air France has created a special section on its website devoted to all things cinema.

On Airfrancelasaga.com people can explore the history of the silver screen and also watch a documentary about France's national carrier.

It will also show how the airline has appeared in many French films including Le Distrait, Au Grand Balcon, and Le Miroir à Deux Face.

Also, a photo gallery can be viewed of stars from the acting world that have posed to have their picture taken on the steps of an Air France plane.

Air France is the official carrier of the Cannes Film Festival, which is one of the oldest celebrations of cinema in the world.

The 61st Cannes event is currently underway on the French coast, and includes the competition for the coveted Palm d'Or award.

Also, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the fourth film in the series, will have its worldwide premiere at the event.

With a range of 85 films available in-flight, Air France has the biggest selection of movies available to air passengers.

Box office hits, classic movies and a varied offering from world cinema are available to people flying with the French carrier.

Along with the section on its website, Air France will also run a Cannes-orientated film programme as part of the in-flight selection on all long-haul routes.
